Warren Dunes!!!

The VanArsdalen family and our family packed up and headed for the beach Sunday. IT WAS AWESOME!! The waves were GREAT and it was quite a workout hitting them! I could so be a beach bum!

The boys would sit on the edge of the water and just let the waves hit them. They had sand EVERY WHERE!!!

Eleana LOVED the water and beach too! Rhonda has a beach goer for sure on her hands. She is sitting in a bucket that they brought with a football. She was just happy to sit there and play. Her poor eye was swollen shut from a mosquito bite.

The boys trying to play football on the hot sand! That sand gets SO hot!

YEP! This is where the guys were most of the day. Bruce did walk to the van once or twice, but Stan pretty much planted himself in the chair and that's where he stayed. See how close the people are beside Bruce, well these people just came up and started putting their stuff up RIGHT close to us! I mean it was almost in our spots! Rhonda was HOT! It was really rude, but I could never say anything.

OH WAIT! He did get up a couple times and even posed for a few pics!

BEACH BUMS! NO NOT BABES just bums! LOL

Arleigh the bathing beauty!

Cameron's Wedding

This past weekend Stan and I attended a wedding in Noblesville, IN. When Stan and I first started dating Cameron was a newborn. Cameron and Stan were very close, there was this thing that Stan would do to Cameron each time he'd see him, he would raise up Cameron's arm and tickle him or something, well it got to the point when Cameron would see Stan he'd raise his arm up for him and start laughing before Stan even touched him. They were so cute together!!!

Cameron's parents were our principle/teacher where we went to high school and we became close friends with them. They have moved to Noblesville and are now Grandparents. WOW! How time flies! Anyways, there middle son Seth is WELL! something else! He was always SETHY Q to us, but now going on 16, probably doesn't want to hear that. In this picture Seth is trying to talk his Mom into letting him eat a LIVE gold fish for $25. Someone said they'd give the first person to eat a gold fish $20, well when Seth walked in the room Stan cornered him and said he'd give him another $5 BUCKS if he'd do it! Seth wanted to, but he said "My Mom would kill me!" LOL

We had a great time and was so glad we made the time to travel down to celebrate Cameron and Janae's big day

Mud Hens AGAIN!

Saturday night we attended a Mud Hens game with Dad, Mom, Bethany Morgan, Teresa, Malorie, & Easton. We took Travis and Leah with us since we had two extra tickets. It was Teresa, Malorie and Easton's first time being at the Mud Hens. E was on Uncle Stan's lap for some of the game and at one point a foal ball came flying by us and was definitely to close for my liking! It is always so much fun to watch baseball!!

Hangin' with Uncle Stan!

A baseball game and fireworks! WOW!!

I can not even type anything for this picture! Travis, Taylor and Leah look so nice and then there is DORK 1 and DORK 2 in the background!!!

What a GAME!

This summer Tyler has been playing baseball on the High School (aka ACME) team. He is the only freshmen on the team and has kind of been the blunt of jokes and the normal stuff that goes along with being the baby on the team. Tyler has played first base, catcher, pitcher, outfield, and who knows where else, but he loves baseball so will play where ever they put him in!

Tuesday night started the end of the season tournaments and it's double elimination. The team has not won a game all season and lost Tuesday night, so they played last night. We figured it was going to be the last game of the season since like I said they haven't won any yet. WELL!!! The game started out bad with the opposing team getting 6 runs in the first inning and a few more later in the game. We scored 4 runs in there some place. Then in the top of the 6th inning with our team up to bat and 2 outs we scored 10 RUNS!!!! YES 10!!! That made the score 14-11 Hilltop on top! Our coach changed pitchers then when the other team was up at the bottom of the 6th and IT WAS TYLER HE PUT IN!!!!!!!!!!! I was almost puking! I try not to get to worked up at the kids games, it's just a game and if they are having fun that's all that matters. WELL I WAS WORKED UP DURING THIS ONE!!! OH MY WORD! I was thinking "WHAT IS THE COACH THINKING??" I know where is the confidence I should have in my son!! NOT THERE SORRY!!!!! We NEEDED THIS WIN and I knew if he messed up being the new guy or little guy he'd feel terrible!

So Tyler starts pitching and they don't score that inning. We get up to bat in the top of the 7th and score nothing. I'm thinking okay Tyler pitched, now put in someone else to CLOSE the game!! UM NO TYLER COMES BACK IN! By this time I have Stan on the phone, my battery is almost dead and I'm giving him play by play of the entire two innings he is pitching! At one point Stan says "Jen could you not scream into the phone?" LOL

Okay (I know this is taking alot, but this is GOOD!!) By the way we are playing North Central and they have a pretty good team. SO! N.C. scores two runs it's 14-13 and the tying runner is on base and steals all the way to third. Tyler strikes out the next batter, so there are 2 outs with the tying runner still on third base. THIS IS WHERE IT GETS GOOD!!! Tyler turns around to walk back to the pitcher's mound and the hot shot on third decides to steal home!!!!!!!! EVERYONE IS SCREAMING THROW HOME TYLER!!! TYLER TURNS AROUND WHIPS IT INTO THE CATCHER AND THEY GET HIM OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY WON THE GAME!!!!!!! WE ARE ALL SCREAMING EVEN THE BOYS ON THE FIELD!!!! Stan was still on the phone with me and he's like "WHAT IS GOING ON!!!!" I'm telling him everything that just happened and he's just laughing and WHOOPING! Here Stan is stuck in traffic in Chicago listening to me commentate this game! It was the coolest thing and so funny. This game started at 5:30, had a rain delay, then another delay due to lightening, so it didn't get over till almost 9:00. WHAT A GAME!!! Of course the one time I didn't bring a camera! UGH!!!

We play tonight again against Montpelier, so we'll see how it goes. It would be AWESOME if they could win, but we are just so excited they won even one game! So Tyler is waiting for the newspaper to come out today to see if he made the paper for the save. I hope everyone has been able to understand this, it's so hard to type what you are trying to say. It was just so great I wanted to share it with whoever reads this blog!

Trevor's Team Wins Championship!!

Tonight was the championship game for Trevor's team and they won 6-4(yes I actually knew the score to this one! LOL) For anyone that knows me well enough they know I NEVER know the scores, just who wins or loses. Trev was catcher the entire game and was pretty glad he laid around most of the day. He threw a guy out at second base, which is quite a long throw for a little guy like Trevor!! LOL

Trevor accepting his trophy from Coach VanArsdalen

The champions! The little girl in the picture is there because her brother Blake Wyse. Blake died two years ago this fall and had been a part of this team. Bruce (the coach) gave a trophy to his family in Blakes name, this would've been his last year in this age group. Blake had a real love for baseball. They had asked Aubrey to sit in the picture for Blake. She is a little sweetheart! Ornery, but sweet!! LOL Stan and her will go rounds, they pick on each other all the time! Of course they both deserve it!

Wow! How time flies! They are just like brothers!

Some of the boys soaked the Coach! BURR!!!
