We Made It!!

These are a couple pictures of our volleyball excitement! Andy and I goofing around and the other is a couple in our group, who he is like 100 ft. tall (well it seems like it). I felt like he was as big as Goliath! Some how I always ended up facing him on the front line!!

The game did go off without anyone getting permanently disabled! Now some were bruised and a bit sore this morning, but for the most part it was all okay. We started out boys against girls, well they WHOMPED us, so we mixed it up three girls/three guys on each team. It was so much fun and we laughed till at some points we were crying. I'm still seeing Carrie put her hands up over her head.

The kids are back in school after a week of Spring Break. I really don't mind having them here, now that they are older they are very helpful with the babysitting kids. Now it's trying to get everyone back schedules here. Speaking of kids, I hear some waking up, so I better get going. Hope everyone has a GREAT week!

The weekend is OVER!?

What a weekend! It was one of those that you wonder where did it go? We were so busy that I'm not sure I can even totally remember what all happened. Tyler had District Science Fair at the University of Toledo on Saturday and that was an ALL MORNING/afternoon thing. I mean we are talking getting up at 5:30 A.M.!! YES THAT IS EARLY FOR ME!! I HATE MORNINGS! He got Superior and First place in his category at Hilltop, then went to Regionals at Northwest State and got the same. He only got an Excellent Saturday, but was he upset, NOPE! He says he is just in it for the bonus points! NOW IS THAT NOT HIS FATHER'S SON??!! Holger also did a Science Fair project, he got an Excellent at Hilltop, but was not able to move on. Holger was just glad to have it DONE! SO WAS I!! This was Tyler's first year and Stan or I neither one ever had to do something like this before. So it was a first for all of us! It was a lot of long hours and most of them at like MIDNIGHT the night before it was DUE! UGH!! FYI: the pictures were taken after the judging so neither of them were dressed up like they were during judging. Didn't want anyone to think "WHAT IN THE WORLD WERE THEY THINKING, not dressing up!" They both looked VERY nice!

The Easter photos were taken at my Uncle John's on Easter Sunday. I did not get any pictures of my cousin's kids. Not sure where I was when that was going on? WHO KNOWS! I did get one of Josh with Trev, Malorie and Easton after the Egg Hunt. NOW that was something else!!! We had to let Josh go out first since he is smaller, but let me tell you holding Easton back was like, you know when you watch Bull riding and the bull is just going wild in the pen! THAT IS EASTON!! LOL! He is just a RIOT!

Well I'll close for now. Our church is quite large and so we do small groups that get together as often as your group wants to. We are doing an Andy Stanley study right now and it is very good. Someone got the BRIGHT or not so bright idea to play volleyball following our study tonight. YEAH RIGHT! Stan and I are the oldest in the group! WHICH TOTALLY CRACKS ME UP! I'm not sure either of us will be able to get out of bed in the morning! I'll get back with you on that.

IS THIS REALLY SPRING???

WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING ON???? This is what we woke up to this morning. It is the end of March and we are still dealing with this snow! Now they are calling for temps of 61 on Monday with strong storms! AAAHHH!!! Anyone hear my frustration??

Stan had a baseball scrimmage last night and it started to sleet/rain right when they start. Tyler and Holger came in just soaked! What they won't do to play a sport. Stan came in later then and was soaked and freezing! I am hoping no one ends up sick!!

Trevor was a trooper this morning and took three of the little girls outside to play in the snow. Of course you know how that goes, it takes 2 hours to get everything on and they were only outside about 10 minutes! URG! Oh well, it's nice that Trev was home so I didn't have to go stand in the cold! Thanks Trev!

I'll give this a try

Thought I'd give this a try. Not sure what I am doing though. This winter has been one of the longest I remember having (sorry Tracey I know yours is longer). I am ready to open the pool and be outside. The boys start baseball next week and I am looking forward to that, but not the sitting out in the cold part. That to me is football weather not baseball weather.

For some that do not know we have had an exchange student with us since August. His name is Holger and he is from Hamburg, Germany. It has been hard at times, but he is definitely part of our wacky family! He has not been able to play any sports at school yet, but he is going to play baseball. Holger knew nothing about baseball and he is very competitive, so this has been hard for him to learn. He is a perfectionist when it comes to playing a sport or game. Oh, I forgot he is 18 and is a Junior at Hilltop.

Stan and I are going to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary tomorrow and I can not believe that it's been that long with this man! It seems like just yesterday that we met at Fayette Christian Academy! We were both young, thinner, and in love! Well, we are still in love at least! LOL! We have nothing special planned just maybe dinner out, who knows.
